Open Auditions - calling all musicians and entertainers Sat 5th & Sun 6th February 2012
We have some excellent acts on our books but, with two venues plus our new marquee for hire, we’re always looking for more! From solists, duets, trios, quartets and big bands to bag pipers, harpists, violinists, sirroc dancers, musicians, sword swallowers, fireaters, jugglers, balloon artists, comedians and entertainers ...there’s not much we haven’t been asked for.
So if you’re not already on our books and you’d like to be, then please call Debs at Mad Ideas to book an audition slot on Sunday November 6th. We’ll be holding auditions in the Marquee in the Beer Garden so chances are there’ll be a live audience there to see your act and to help us decide whether we should have you back in the future.
TO BOOK YOUR AUDITION SLOT CALL DEBS on 027 232 1480. If you can’t make the February dates or would like to audition sooner, please call Debs to discuss dates.

The basin gets a plug!
If you’ve seen the papers recently, you’ll be aware that we have a new floating sculpture in front of the restaurant. Artist Helen Jean, (she does all the paintings that are on display in the Pear Tree), decided that every basin needs a plug and so she built one!
Her’s is a tad larger than most though and spans 3 metres. It’s constructed of fibreglass, polystyrene and wood and took months to construct. It’s a real work of art and it’s Helen’s gift to Kerikeri. So come on down for a look.
Calling all caffeine connoiseurs
We’ve just bought a new coffee machine and we’ve switched to using the legendary L’Affare Coffee because the art of good coffee starts with using the very best coffee beans.
We won ‘Peoples’ Choice - Best Restaurant’ in the recent Matariki Awards
We were rapt to be finalists in five different categories of Northland’s only annual hospitality awards and were blown away to be voted Northland’s best restaurant by the people who truly matter - our customers. We’d like to thank everyone that supported us and we look forward to showing you our award when you next dine with us.
An Historic Wedding Venue
An historic venue for an historic day. Nestled at the bottom of the Stone Store Basin and accross the road from the iconic Stone Store, the Pear Tree Restaurant provides a great backdrop for photographs.
The Blacksmith’s Shed is perfect for intimate weddings, or you can use the main restaurant for larger affairs. Dine Al Fresco in the garden or there’s plenty of room for a marquee. Set menu, buffet, spit roast or finger food, Chef Neil Brazier will work with you to design a menu to fit your budget and taste.
